About Us
We are a San Diego based company specializing in breeding Medaka/Japanese rice fish. Breeding medaka is a craft and we strive for the strongest and highest quality strains. All of our medaka are bred and raised outdoors as the sun promotes their growth and color. We are excited to share our hand selected high-grade medaka to other fishkeepers who love medaka or are just starting out in the hobby. We only sell juvenile and adult medaka when their colors have come in to ensure the quality of the line. At this stage they are ready for breeding. Shipping/DOA Policy
Shipping Policy:
We only ship via USPS Priority Mail on Mondays and Tuesdays so the fish arrive before the weekend and are not in transit for long. We use the highest standards when packing the fish including insulation for hot/cold resistance and breather bags to ensure the fish have plenty of oxygen during transit. We also fast the fish for 24-48 hours so there is less waste in the bags.
DOA Policy:
We offer a 100% live arrival guarantee.
If any fish arrives DOA (dead on arrival),
please do the following for refund/replacement:
• Email us at: kawaiiricefish@gmail.com within 2.5 hours of delivery with clear photos of the deceased fish in the unopened bag(s).
• Let us know if you would like a refund or replacement. If replacement is not available, we will refund you. However, shipping charges will not be refunded. Buyer will have to pay for shipping charges for any replacement fish.
